As an operations user,
I struggle because when I’m working on a work item, I can only see a contact’s name and email ID in the right-side Contacts section. To get any additional details, I have to click into each contact, open a new tab, check their profile, and then come back to the work item.
This constant switching between screens is tiring and slows me down — especially when I need to check 2–3 contacts for context. It breaks focus, adds unnecessary clicks, and wastes time that could otherwise be spent resolving the work item.
What would be a lifesaver is if I could simply hover over a contact’s name and instantly see a small pop-up or overlay showing all their key details including any configured extension properties. This way, I wouldn’t have to leave the work item screen at all. Everything I need to know about a contact would be right there, just a hover away.
Acceptance Criteria:
  1. When a user hovers over a contact’s name in the Contacts section, a pop-up should appear showing:
• Standard fields that I would see on a contact with Contacts screen of Work Manager
• ALL configured extension properties related to the contact.
  1. The hover pop-up should appear within 1 second of hovering and disappear when the cursor moves away.
  2. The feature should work consistently across all work item types and user roles.
  3. The pop-up should be non-intrusive and not block the user’s ability to scroll or interact with other elements on the screen.
  4. The pop-up should be of dynamic size to include all fields in one view rather than having to scroll within pop-up.
